The New EMS Building

The Oran Day Celebration held in 1995 was the first event held to raise funds for the new EMS Building. Ten years later as the next Oran Day on August 20, 2005 approaches the walls take shape and the dream is becoming a reality. Land was donated by the Weaver family and ground was broken for the new building in the fall of 2004.

The Oran Fire Department and First Responders along with the community take great pride in funding the project with only private donations and fundraisers. It is being constructed without government financial assistance. The Oran Mutual Telephone Company provided $25,000 in matching funds. Fundraisers have included Steak Fry's and Pancake Breakfast's.

The new facility has 3 bays that can house 6 trucks, office, meeting room, 2 restrooms, decontamination shower and equipment storage area.
